So the city of Glendale, Arizona told the Arizona Coyotes it’s ending the lease between it and the city at the Coyotes’ home arena. Here’s a telling line from the city in a tweet on Aug. 19:

Rankin Inlet finished in the top four at the Fred Sasakamoose “Chief Thunderstick” National Hockey Championship, which wrapped up in Saskatoon on Aug. 15.

As summer comes to a close around the territory, that means all of the programming centred around it begins to come to an end.

And so the 2020 Summer Olympics are finally over. I guess they could be called a success because they happened, much like everything else which has been affected by the Covid. If it happened, it’s successful. Expensive, in Tokyo’s case with the Summer Olympics, but still successful.

And so tournament softball is off and running in the NWT and for this group, it’s been a while since they’ve seen game action like this.
