Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC) is letting Nunavummiut know that power may be temporarily interrupted in various communities over the coming months as ‘maintenance season’ gets underway.

Upgrades and maintenance over the spring and summer mean temporary power outages may ensue, Qulliq Energy Corporation is advising customers.

During the warmer time of year, QEC workers repair damaged power poles and lines and perform upgrades and maintenance to electrical systems.

The power corporation states in a news release that customers will be notified in advance of power disruptions via email, social media and radio announcements. It also commits to make “every attempt to schedule maintenance work outside of regular business
