The new building, complete with a boardroom and training space, is expected to be complete by fall 2021.

Currently, QEC's 45 employees in Baker Lake are working out of three separate offices.

“A new head office will increase QEC’s operational efficiency as all Baker Lake administration staff could be accommodated in one building,” stated Jeannie Ehaloak, minister responsible for the power corporation, in a news release.
