The Winnipeg Art Gallery was scheduled to host a performance by throat boxer Nelson Tagoona of Baker Lake Dec. 19.
Tagoona is a rising artist specializing in a musical fusion of traditional Inuit throat singing and beat boxing. Tagoona's show was also scheduled to include holiday music in Inuktitut.
Tagoona, 23, has performed at major events such as APTN Aboriginal Day Live and the 2015 Pan Am Games. He was awarded a Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012 for his impact on youth.
