Following an autopsy, foul play has been ruled out in the death of a 33-year-old Naujaat woman whose body was found in Rankin Inlet on April 26, RCMP stated in a news release issued May 10.

Out of respect for the family, the Mounties will not be releasing further details about the woman’s passing.

Friends of the deceased informed Kivalliq News that the woman was on her way home to Naujaat after accompanying a patient to Winnipeg as a medical escort, when she decided to spend a few nights in Rankin Inlet before continuing home.
