Exclusive: Iqaluit taxi drivers feel 'unsafe' due to children throwing rocks and eggs

Iqaluit taxi drivers fear for their safety after kids continue to throw rocks at their taxis.

Taxi driver Martin Bernard picked up a woman and her son with crutches from Northmart in the late afternoon of Dec. 11.

As he was driving between Arctic Ventures Marketplace and D.J. Specialties his taxi was hit with a big rock.

Eggs were thrown at this taxi. Drivers are increasingly concerned that children throwing rocks and other objects at their taxis will cause property damage and risk the lives of their passengers.
