The municipality hosted its third annual Valentine’s steak dinner for couples, and there was no charge for the meal. Merlyn Recinos volunteered to be chef. The meal included baked potato, veggies, a Valentine’s cake, heart-shaped cheesecakes, chocolates and candies.
Prizes were given to the longest-lasting couple and best-dressed couple – Richard and Susan Amarualik won both of those categories – and to the newest couple, which went to Paul Satuqsi and Catherine Paniaq.
The night wrapped up with some slow dancing.
The hamlet hosts the event to promote healthy relationships in the community.
