There are four new active cases of Covid-19 in Arviat, while six people have made recoveries from the virus, decreasing the total number of cases in the community slightly to 25.

"Arviammiut, there is still a lot of work to be done but I know how committed the community is to see an end to the spread of Covid-19," said Dr. Michael Patterson, Nunavut's chief public health officer. "Each and every one of us needs to continue our part to stop the spread of the virus and I urge Nunavummiut to remain steadfast in their efforts."

All infected individuals are doing well and isolating at home, according to the Government of Nunavut.

Thus far, there have been 7,257 people in the territory who have received at least one dose of the Moderna Covid-19 vaccine.

Anyone who has reason to believe they have been exposed to Covid-19 is advised to call the Covid-hotline at 1-888-975-8601 between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. EST or notify their community health centre right away, and immediately isolate at home for 14 days. Please do not go to the health centre in person.
