COVID-19 recoveries continue in Iqaluit

There are seven more COVID-19 recoveries in Iqaluit as of Sunday, along with the announcement of five new cases of the virus.

There are currently 72 active cases of the coronavirus in Iqaluit.

On Saturday, there were 10 recoveries in Nunavut, including the final two cases in Kinngait, marking the biggest drop in total active COVID-19 cases since the latest outbreak began.

There have been 98 recoveries since this specific outbreak began last month and 489 in total since last November.

As per public health orders, all individuals travelling from Iqaluit must isolate for 14 days upon arrival in another community. People are also advised to call the COVID hotline for concerns of exposure or if they develop symptoms.
