The Grade 9 class at Tuugaalik High School heard from all five candidates before holding a mock election to select the community's new mayor earlier this month.

While final municipal election results were not known as of press time, the class was trying to break its losing streak when it selected Hugh Haqpi as Naujaat's new mayor.
