Minor hockey camp a step closer to prize

by Darrell Greer- December 13, 2017

The season-opening Rankin Rock minor hockey camp came one-step closer to a significant cash infusion when it made the final list for an Arctic Inspiration Prize (AIP).

The camp is in the youth category, which awards up to $100,000 for up to seven teams.

Rankin Rock Hockey Camp gives youth a hands-on experiential learning opportunity as coaches and leaders of a hockey camp. Not only will camp participants build their foundational skills for the upcoming hockey season, but they will – along with youth leaders, coaches and instructors – develop skills, knowledge and attitudes that support skill development, goal-setting, personal wellness, and self-confidence.

AIP winners will be announced on Jan. 31, 2018.
