Habitat for Humanity selects family of five for a new home

Iqaluit - Habitat for Humanity Iqaluit has selected the Ipeelie-Qiatsuk family for a new home to be built in Apex beginning in mid-June. Construction is scheduled to be completed in December.
"We are so happy to be chosen as the next future homeowner by Habitat Iqaluit. We can’t wait to start working alongside the Habitat volunteers to build a home for our growing boys," stated parents Tiivi Qiatsuk and Caroline Ipeelie-Qiatsuk in a news release. "This will make such a difference to our family, and we look forward to joining the Apex community."
The couple has three sons.
Habitat Iqaluit chairperson Glenn Cousins said the family met all aspects of the selection criteria.
"We are really looking forward to building a home with Tiivi and Caroline this year," said Cousins.
"We all know how important a home is to a growing family and we are pleased that Habitat Iqaluit can provide this affordable homeownership option."
This is the fifth home built in the area by the organization.
